YouTube Rewind 2016, the annual YouTube-style look back at the year, was sadly such that it consisted of an overwhelmingly white cast – you had to pay attention to see if anyone black was in it.
The simple fact of the matter is that YouTube viewer demographics don’t fall off dramatically past the age of 34: those between 35 and 54 comprise well over half of the total unique visitor count – but are not reflected in YouTube. This is a huge error.
YouTube Rewind should be more inclusive of YouTube vloggers who are older. Yeah. Like me. And others. Moreover YouTube Rewind should have included President Obama.
