Oakland Raiders Not Moving To Las Vegas With SNTIC Decision

There are some reports that the Oakland Raiders are already leaving for Las Vegas, even with today’s decision of the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee (SNTIC).

The SNTIC decision that, if the Nevada Legislature agrees with it, will lead to the largest public subsidy in NFL history, now goes to that body but only after Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval’s review and determination.

There are still many problems to be considered. There is no land deal. The infrastructure question is still outstanding. And then there is the question of Sheldon Adelson’s own legal problems that include allegations of money laundering.

And then there is the NFL itself. The league owners have the final say. It’s difficult to believe they will approve this deal if it gets that far.

Stay tuned.
