Celeste Guap Facebook Page: Oakland Police Mentions, Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan & Political Friends

Celeste Guap is a now 19-year old Richmond woman who is the focus of claims that when she was 16, she had sexual relations with three Oakland police officers – one of the men is Brendan O’Brien, who committed suicide last year.

This sex scandal (as the media calls it) has opened an internal affairs investigation that started months ago, but was leaked to the media last week.

Ms. Guap has revealed a lot via her Facebook page; her Instagram account is marked private. Even then, on Facebook Celeste has a photo of an Oakland police SUV in Richmond after midnight on April 27th 2016, and she states that she got a ride back home from the Oakland police – that late at night?

What’s particularly interesting is that she has some powerful Facebook friends, and while Ms. Guap and I aren’t that, we have 17 friends in common, including and most notably Oakland Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan and Berkeley Councilmember Kriss Worthington. In addition, she has TV personalities Joe Fonzi, Wendi Tekuda, and many political operatives – and that’s just among the Facebook friends she and I share.

What’s a now 19-year-old Richmond woman who’s Mom is an Oakland police dispatcher, doing with such connections? Moreover, how did she come to have such relationships? And what did she know about events that led to the passing of Brendan O’Brien?

And what, if anything, has she told Oakland Councilmember Kaplan, as the At-Large representative is right there in City Hall and is in the best position to get information from Ms. Guap and give it to her, in turn – of course, this is my speculation. But the connection on social media invites such thoughts.

Stay tuned.
