Prince Plays Role In Oakland Raiders Coliseum JPA Lease Agreement.
Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley said he had no problem with Oakland Raiders Owner Mark Davis talking to the Governor of Nevada or mentioning how much he likes Inglewood: “Mark’s a business man,” he said.
Indeed, Miley says there is a 60-40 chance a stadium deal gets done but they are also waiting to hear from the Oakland A’s, who have not made it clear what they want. But Nate clearly thinks that a deal can get done and especially if the Mayor of Oakland allows the Coliseum JPA to take the lead – an idea echoed by Oakland Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan.
Miley also said that he talked about the lease issue with Mark Davis at the Prince Concert at Oracle Arena a few days ago. Davis spotted Miley, who was with his girlfriend, said hello and talked with him about the lease deal points. So Friday’s JPA meeting is just a formality and you can thank Prince for that.
