Oakland Tribune Not Gone, Just Free Of BANG

The Bay Area News Group has decided to all but dump the Oakland Tribune name for The East Bay Times, (BANG almost did this in 2011) but the soul of the Oakland Tribune remains.

BANG just does not want to be an Oakland booster at all, so it wooses out of our town. Fine. Let them go and do this silly new news brand. The Oakland Tribune will live on.
