The problem with the Cleveland Browns Offense that QB Johnny Manziel has been asked to run is that it lacks a timed passing offense. The basics of a hitch step and throwing motion should not be lost because he is in a shotgun formation. The Browns should evaluate their offense with respect to making sure it’s quarterback friendly. Too often Manziel has to scramble and that is because the system is not designed toward timed passes.
