Ross Mirkarimi Loses SF Sheriff Race – Video
Ross Mirkarimi lost his battle to be reelected San Francisco Sheriff as a shockingly low turnout election of 20 percent and 60 percent of that vote by mail was the real difference. Ross has been a true friend to me and so I was obligated to help him in his reelection bid. Never turn your back on your friends.
Ross will be back. He was a good sheriff who presided over many reforms that made the office more responsive to the public. But a series of mishaps, some beyond his control but others not, doomed his chances.
