This NFL Draft 2014, NFL Mock Draft starts with a player I’ve said the Houston Texans must take, but I also believe they will take, and that’s Johnny Manziel.

And here’s another reason I think the Texans will take Manziel: President George HW Bush was at his pro-day practice, and he’s a good friend of team owner Bob McNair. Don’t think McNair didn’t approach the President for his take on drafting Manziel. But it shows just how important a figure Johnny Football has become in Texas. Passing him up would be a public relations disaster in the state.

But the pick I’m excited about is Khalil Mack to the Oakland Raiders. Mack would round out a completely rebuilt defense that would be ready to perform better than the historically dismal performance of the 2013 squad. Some say Khalil Mack’s the next Lawrence Taylor, and he’d look great in Silver and Black.

Finally, the other pick I’m interested in is Blake Bortles to the Cleveland Browns later in the draft. Personally, I think Carr’s a better selection as he was the nation’s passing leader, and the top performer in the Senior Bowl. That’s why he goes to the Dallas Cowboys before Blake.

I’ve never went wrong in saying that the top performer in the Seniar Bowl will start for a team. This year, Carr’s not just that, he’s the top passer in the nation from the previous year. Doesn’t take rocket science to figure out that one.

With that, here’s my first of many NFL Mock Drafts.
