britney-spears-x-factor-oakland-auditions-3-435x580Oakland’s known for many things, but keeping inventory of its hottest women isn’t one of them. It should be. Oakland’s got to get over its focus on news about crime, unemployment, politics, and misery, and focus on something that’s at once affirmative and sexy.

Oakland’s hottest women can either live in Oakland, work in Oakland, have worked in Oakland, or be from Oakland.

With that idea in mind, I present one of Oakland’s hottest women: Britney Spears.

Considering the number of concerts and appearances she’s made in Oakland, singer, producer, entertainer, and pop-culture icon Britney Spears almost lives here.

Ms. Spears was here in 2009 in concert..

And she was here as an X Factor judge in 2012, which explains the photo, above. In all, Britney Spears has visited Oakland in 2002, 2004, 2009, and 2012.

That’s a lot. (No word on a sighting at Lake Chalet, however.)

The trouble is, with her string of concerts at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, it’s not yet known when Ms. Spears is going to return to Oakland. When that’s known, you’re read it here first.

Other Notables On The Oakland’s Hottest Women List

This list could be interesting, but here’s a short preliminary: Alison Roessler , the personal trainer over at The Working Body; Pamela Price, the famed civil rights lawyer; Emily Palen, the violinist who calls herself KnightressM1, and who just had a gig at The Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco (she lives in Oakland); Jahmese Myres, who’s tirelessly working to establish more well-paying jobs in our city; and Debra Sterling, founder of the oakland-based toy company GoldieBlox.

If you think about it, you should see where I’m headed with this.

Stay tuned.
