The Detroit Lions star wide receiver Calvin Johnson shocked the Dallas Cowboys, and the nation, when he made 14 catches for 329 yards in an epic battle the Lions won in overtime, 31 to 30.
The contest also featured a now celebrated sideline rant by Dez Bryant, the Dallas Cowboys latest to wear the number “88.”
Now, Calvin Johnson invites comparison with the San Francisco 49ers great Jerry Rice. But Johnson has a long way to go. Calvin has over 8,000 yards and 61 touchdowns, where Jerry has over 22,000 yards and 197 touchdowns.
The question is, can Calvin Johnson ever hope to catch Jerry Rice?
