Ravens Beat Dolphins in Miami
Ravens Beat Dolphins in Miami

Oh what a difference a week makes! The Baltimore Ravens bounced back in a 26-23 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

The Dolphins tried to rally in the last two minutes, but their kicker missed the 57-yard field goal to give the Ravens their first road win of the season.

In week four, running back Ray Rice had five carries, this week Rice had 27 carries for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

The Ravens are 19-2 when they have 21+ rushes. Hopefully they learned their lesson…want to win? Add a little Rice!

The run game struggled in the first half, but bounced back in the second.

Quarterback Joe Flacco threw for 269 passing yards with one interception. He had three completions of at least 40 yards. Flacco did a good job spreading the ball around and his receivers did a better job at holding on to it. Wide receiver Torrey Smith had six catches for 121 yards.

While far from perfect, the offensive line did a better job protecting Flacco. He was rattled six times and sacked twice, but he kept on ticking.

The Ravens defense held the Dolphins to 22 rushing yards and limited them to 294 yards on the day.

Linebacker Terrell Suggs was stellar with three sacks in the fourth quarter.

The win wasn’t pretty, but Ravens wins rarely are. They did what they needed to do to walk away with the win.

It was a good game and I was pleased to see them run the ball again. I hope they stick with the running game and stop trying to be something they’re not. The Ravens aren’t built to be a passing team and they fail when they try to be. 21+ rushes and their chances of winning are pretty good, please keep it up…
