The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Los Angeles Kings, take the NHL West, and are headed to the NHL Finals, where they’ll take on The Boston Bruins.

It took two overtimes to do it, and the Chicago Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane’s third goal of the game in the second overtime was the difference, and drove The United Center Chicago crowd to a joyous frenzy, winning 4-3.

To make the winning show, Pat Kane skated behind Jonathan Toews charging forward and picked up the drop pass from the Blackhawks leader. Kane then slapped the show real high and just beyond the Kings’ Jonathan Quick’s hand for the historic winner.

Kane would later tell reporters “I knew it was coming as soon as he touched the puck. Johnny made a great pass, I just tried to get it off as quick as I could.”

Now, it’s the Chicago Blackhawks versus The Boston Bruins for the Stanley Cup.

Stay tuned.
