vikings-intThe Minnesota Vikings unveiled their long-planned new stadium in animation form on Monday, and it’s something else. In trying to come up with an alternative to a retractable-roofed stadium, HKS Architects created an elegant solution that will set the tone for NFL Stadiums in the future.

The roof of the $975 million venue in downtown Minneapolis is glass, while giant french doors serve to bring outside air, in. It’s that simple. the one question that does come up is what happens to the air conditioning in the summer? Will it be overtaxed considering the beating sun streaming into the giant room?

That’s a question to ask.
