Tiger Woods is officially back. The World’s Best Golfer won the Players Championship on Sunday in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, scoring his fourth win in six starts this year, and after going for two years without a win, in the wake of Woods’ now-almost-forgotten episodes of being caught cheating on his now-ex-wife Elin Nordegren.

Famed Sports Agent Leigh Steinberg was right about Tiger Woods: he has come back and is loved once again:

In fact, he’s loved most of all by Lindsey Vonn, the equally-famed Olympic skier who once made fun of his relationship woes is now his girlfriend, and by all accounts someone who’s really good for him. Vonn was there to witness his win, and it capped a week that started with the pair at The Met Gala in New York – something Woods remarked he did for her, as he’s really a “jeans and t-shirt” guy.

But I digress.

Tiger Woods won the Players Championship in dramatic fashion, beating a quartet of great golfers with the kind of focused, almost perfect play we’ve not seen from him in years.

The reason for his improved play, I recon, is that Lindsey Vonn has no problem satisfying his giant sexual appetite. Such is the advantage of dating a World-class female athlete. Tiger doesn’t have to go on the prowl any more, and Lindsey Vonn’s strong enough to kick his tail if he did.

Woods can focus on golf.

Sergio Garcia Fell By Bad Karma

Someone not at all happy about this was Sergio Garcia, who’s epic fall from a near win will be the stuff of legend. Garcia shot two golf balls into the water Sunday, and then double-bogeyed the last hole. He was as high as 13 under par before finishing tied for eighth place at 7 under par.

Yes. Sergio Garcia dropped six shots.

Why? Overall, Garcia’s got an unusually high degree of dislike for Tiger Woods. It’s so bad it translates into his making negative statements about Woods every time a camera’s pushed into his face.

That produces bad Karma, and it came up to bite Sergio in the ass during the Players Championship. Maybe he’ll learn to keep his mouth closed and let his golf do the talking.

Stay tuned.
