Jodi Arias, the convicted murderer of boyfriend Travis Alexander in 2007, said to a TV reporter that she preferred the death penalty after the jury voted to say that she was guilty of first-degree murder.
“I said years ago I’d rather get death than life and that still is true today,” Arias told KSAZ in Phoenix, Arizona. “I believe death is the ultimate freedom, so I’d rather just have my freedom as soon as I can get it.”
The jury is set to meet to determine Jodi Arias’ fate in about two hours after the posting of this entry. This blogger continues to hold that we weren’t there, and it really looks like a crime of passion. Why would Arias stab and then shoot Travis Alexander – moreover stab him 27 times?
According to Wolf Blitzer, all of that happened within less than a minute. If you think about it, that means she had just gone completely nuts. I’d bet Arias still has no idea of what actually happened.
On the other hand, the simple fact is if a woman, or in this case a man, doesn’t want you, the best thing is to just go and find someone else. By all accounts, Jodi Arias didn’t do that.
