Here’s hoping you had a Happy Star Wars Day, and may the fourth be with you, or in this case, have been with you.
But how did this crazy celebration get started?
Well, reportedly, it had nothing to do with the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s saying to celebrate Britain’s Birthday, but a play on the term “May The Force be with you.”
And as life would have it, I’m late getting this installed, so I’ll just extend the whole damn thing and say ‘May the fifth be with you, as well.’ And leave it to my friend Stephanie Thorpe of Elf Quest to at least done the appropriate attire.
(Now, I don’t know who the woman in the stormtrooper mask is, but it’s not Stephanie, FYI.)
As I think about it, maybe ‘May the Sith be with you might’ be something for Darth Vader fans to try on the 5th of May. Get it? Sith, fifth?
Well, I had to try.
But give it to my Mom for saying “Happy Star Wars Day!”
That was cool.
Stay tuned.
