This year’s NFL Draft went even more Hollywood than before. Actors Frank Langela, Kevin Dodson, and famed movie director Ivan Reitman (Animal House), were at the 203 NFL Draft making a movie called Draft Day.

As actor Kevin Dodson told me, Draft Day is simply “a movie about (NFL) Draft Day.”

To make Draft Day, the NFL gave Ivan Reitman and his crew not just full access, but even redesigned the NFL Red Carpet so that there was twice the room for cameras and crew to move around, sometimes quickly. As it would happen there was less space for media – 75 percent less space than before.

Because of that, the NFL had slots for just a few media outlets and on a first-respond, first-served basis. Fortunately, this blogger jumped on that email when it was sent, else, no access to the NFL Red Carpet.

Now, does that mean I’m in the movie Draft Day? As an extra? Not sure. Let’s hope I’m not cut out of shots.

Stay tuned.
