shooting The Oakland Art Murmur / First Friday Festival took place last Friday, and about one month after the tragic shooting that left Kiante Campbell dead on Telegraph Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets at the geographic heart of Art Murmur.

Where do we go from here?

I’d prefer to see The Oakland Art Murmur / First Friday Festival just get bigger and bigger. Others want Oakland to stick its collective head in the sand and do nothing. I for one have had it. Oakland must make bold strokes for the future.
