On Thursday, it was announced that J.J. Abrams, the creator of Lost and Cloverfield, and the director of the last two new Star Trek movies, including the upcoming Star Trek: Into Darkness, has been selected to direct Star Wars VII. Wow. He’s bringing together two separate major Sci Fi universes, so I have to ask, who the hell did he sleep with or pay off to get that gig? We know how Hollywood works: the only way J.J. Abrams got the right to direct Star Wars VII was by being aggressive. So now, what? Will William Shatner get a role in the movie? Whatever the case, he’d better not screw it up, or a lot of people will roll his head down Sunset Blvd.!
