emma-seth After years of being behind, the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences finally gets into the 21st Century with the Oscar Nominations announcement for the 85th Academy Awards. The hashtag “#OscarNoms” is a hit, rising as high at the number two position on Twitter Trends 15 minutes ago from this writing, a placing that represents a $100,000 value for the day if it were to have been a purchased promoted hashtag.

The Oscar Nominations were hosted by Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane, and the jokes came fast and furious, undoubtedly fueling part of the Twitter reaction.
