Kasandra Michelle Perkins Facebook Page reveals a set of lovely photos of her, and her with Jovan Belcher and their lovely daughter Zoey Michelle Belcher, who was born on September 11th, 2012. Social media makes it harder to believe this happened. This is really, really, really sad.
On her Facebook page, Kasandra revealed that she liked Rihanna, Nickelback, Jazmine Sullivan, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, and Adele and Whitney Houston. She enjoyed watching The Big Bang Theory, Maury, Criminal Minds, Rugrats, and the Lifetime Channel.
Interestingly, the only athlete she listed as “liking” on her page, was Jackie Battle, another KC Chiefs player. This leads to a KansasCity.com report that Perkins met Belcher via the girlfriend of another KC Chiefs player – perhaps him.
That source also reports that Perkins and Belcher “argued alot” over their three-year-relationship and that their latest one was over her trip to the Trey Songnz concert Friday night – she was out late. Perkins, according to a friend who did not want to be identified by KansasCity.com, confronted her at 1 AM after she returned home. They lived on the 5400 Block Of Crysler Avenue in Kansas City.
Perkins was a student at Blue River Community College in Independence, and wanted to be a school teacher.
What happened was that, early this morning, Kasandra Michelle Perkins’ mother called 911 to report that Jovan had shot her daughter. When Mr. Belcher arrived at the KC Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium Practice Facility, he was met by GM Scott Pioli and Head Coach Romeo Crennel. Pioli asked him to stop committing more acts of violence – to which he pulled a gun out of his bag, and shot himself.
