On Tuesday, Hope Solo married former Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tight End Jerramy Stevens in a small, private ceremony in suburban Seattle, Washington near Snohomish. The event took place after an eventful Monday, that started getting weird at Hope Solo’s Kirkland, Washington home, and after 12 midnight it seems – at 3:45 am police were involved.
What happened, according to a slew of reports and Twitter tweets, is that Hope Solo’s brother Marcus called 9-11 to report a disturbance. When police arrived, they found eight “intoxicated” people who would not cooperate and tell them what happened. One of them was Ms. Solo, who reportedly said “Marcus, don’t tell them anything!,” and was said to have been argumentative with police.
When police went to search the home, they followed a trail of blood that was on the carpet, then on a banister, which led them to go upstairs. There, in a bedroom, between the bed and the wall, was Mr. Stevens, who said he was hiding. He had blood on his shirt.
When police asked him what happened, Stevens said he had was arguing with Hope over whether the couple would live in Florida or Washington after they got married. Because Stevens admitted to having a disagreement, and because police found blood and a laceration on her elbow, he was arrested in a charge of fourth degree domestic violence, and taken to jail, where he spent the night.
(And created a bit of a complication for himself. According to USA Today, it turns out that Stevens was on probation for a from a marijuana charge in October 2010. He applied for a travel permit to go to Washington and get married. Jerramy is reportedly not in violation of his probation, which runs until October 2013.)
The next day, Tuesday morning, Stevens was part of a row of accused men in a court session where Hope, now revealed to be his fiance (although Hope herself did so via a photo on Twitter during Halloween), was sitting in the audience. The judge dropped the charge of domestic violence because there was no creditable evidence to back the claim by the prosecutor. Solo left the court room, avoiding questions from the press there, got into a waiting car, and left.
Meanwhile, her lawyer did say that Hope wasn’t going to answer questions. However, it’s not over – the prosecutor announced her intention to reinterview all of the people who were at Hope’s home. I don’t know why she expects anyone to cooperate with her, because to this date no one has. But it’s clear the prosecutor’s not done with the case.
Later that day, Hope Solo and Jerramy Stevens got married.
The event has upset many of Hope Solo’s fans – it’s fair to say, all of them. For guys, it’s in part that she’s off to market, but in larger part because of the choice of who she went off the market with, and what he did.
And not just what he did in allegedly having an altercation with Hope, but that it comes just three months after Solo took aim at Maksim Chmerkovskiy for being “too rough” with her and basically accusing him of being violent with her on Dancing With The Stars in 2011. Somewhere, MaksC has to think this is a weird form of poetic justice, as he was very hurt by her charges. Hope even asked for video showing his treatment of her to be shown. I tried to help…
Legal troubles For Jerramy Stevens
Sadly, Jerramy Stevens has a rap sheet that was already healthy before this incident, and well-described at Wikipedia:
On June 2, 1998, Stevens was arrested on charges of second-degree assault armed with a deadly weapon and fourth-degree assault. According to a police report, Stevens and a friend engaged in a fight with a 17-year-old and witnesses said Stevens stomped on the man’s face. Stevens agreed to a plea deal of a charge of misdemeanor assault.
On July 10, 1998, Stevens tested positive for marijuana and served a day in jail.
On July 27, 2000, Stevens was arrested for the sexual assault of a 19-year-old University of Washington freshman. Stevens initially denied having sex with the accuser, but later admitted to having sex with her in the yard of a fraternity house in the early morning hours of June 4, 2000, after a fraternity party, but maintained it was consensual. However, a UW student who walked by and witnessed them having sex called 911 to report it as a possible rape, noting that the woman appeared to be drugged; he described her as “half passed out … eyes glazed … no one home.”[7][8] Stevens’s semen was found in the victim, who was penetrated vaginally and anally, and numerous witnesses testified that she acted as if drugged at the party. Police suspected a date rape drug was given to the woman at the party, but blood samples were taken too late for testing. Despite these suspicions, the King County prosecutor declined to file rape charges against Stevens due to “confusing and conflicting statements”.[7][8] A civil suit, which resulted in a settlement, was later filed by the victim. The civil settlement was not publicly disclosed, but according to published reports included a $300,000 payment by Stevens to the plaintiff. The investigation and aftermath of this incident and the subsequent decision to not charge Stevens were reported by the Seattle Times.[7][8]
On May 4, 2001, Stevens was cited for reckless driving and hit and run after crashing into a nursing home. Stevens pleaded guilty to hit-and-run and causing property damage and was sentenced to 240 hours of community service.
On April 3, 2003, Stevens was stopped by Medina, Washington police and was charged with reckless driving and driving while intoxicated. He pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was fined $1,000 and was sentenced to two days in jail because the judge ruled Stevens violated his probation from the hit-and-run case.
On March 13, 2007, Stevens was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona for suspicion of DUI after his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.204, over twice the legal limit of .08 and considered “extreme DUI” in Arizona. He was later found guilty in a court trial, and was subsequently sentenced to 12 days in jail and fined $3,160.[9] This sentence was later decreased to 10 days by a Scottsdale city judge.[10]
On March 20, 2007, the Seattle Times reported that multiple complaints were raised against Stevens by other residents in his condominium complex. The complaints included vomit on their doors, used condoms on the back porch, loud parties at all hours of the night, and various noise complaints.[11]
On October 23, 2010, Stevens was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Stevens had been pulled over for playing loud music, when the officer smelled marijuana, and discovered 38 grams of it in his car.[12]
On March 3, 2011, Stevens was arrested and charged with felony battery for punching two bouncers in a Tampa, Florida bar. According to his attorney, who denied the charges, after Stevens was released from jail, he was treated for “multiple broken ribs and extensive bruising to his body and face.” [13]
On November 12, 2012, Stevens was arrested on investigation of assault following an altercation that left his fiancée, soccer star Hope Solo injured.[14] [15]
What bother’s Hope’s fans is that she’s just so quickly jumped in with someone who seems to bring not much to the table, other than trouble when he’s drunk or high. And now you can get high in Washington without being screwed with by the police. But that aside, Jerramy’s already changed Hope, and it doesn’t seem like it’s for the better.
What’s interesting is that Hope Solo was described by her neighbors has being very nice and not keeping up a lot of noise. This party, the one involving Stevens, was different, and fits right in line with the loud parties he’s known for having; Hope’s neighbors said that was out of character for her. Why did she marry so fast? Was it because he got her pregnant? It’s just a guess, but considering the super-secret way both Hope and Jerramy covered up their intent to get married, and the lack of cooperation given police after the Sunday-into-Monday incident at Hope’s home, it’s fair to ask what else are they hiding?
Also, while photos of the wedding were posted because someone wanted folks to see how happy Hope and Jerramy are, the question I have is where’s Mr. Stevens’ folks? All I see are Hope’s folks and friends – I don’t see anyone who speaks for him or who is his friend. Of course, that could just be because the person taking the pictures only knew Hope and their related friends and relations and not Jerramy, or anyone connected with him, but you have to ask?

Some fans still wonder what happened to Seattle party promoter Adrian Galaviz, the person once called her boyfriend, and was last seen with her at The Colony in Hollywood last year, here:
But Adrian seemed to be less a boyfriend and more a friend. Moreover, he seemed to treat her more as a trophy that he had rather than as a woman who was his friend. It’s no wonder that, especially since her star started to rise last year, Hope was seen more and more with celebrities like Dhani Jones and Randy Johnson of American Idol.
But whatever the details, it’s clear that Hope was on the man chase, and just before the Olympics, she did she was open for dating – thing is, she never said she wanted to get married right off the bat.
