Petraeus resigned due to revelations during an FBI investigation launched by the complaints of a woman “close” to the four-star general who said Paula B was harassing her. In the middle of the discovery period, FBI agents or agent found a series of email exchanges between David and Paula that have been described as “racy,” including one mentioning “sex under the table.”
The news brought down someone considered by many, including my late Stepfather Chester H. Yerger, Jr., who was a war veteran, of being a hero. Petraeus gained notice during the Iraq War and was elevated to the loft title of “supreme commander” of the American and NATO war effort. President Obama smartly kept “P4” as he’s called close and elevated him to the status of CIA Director.
Now, he’s resigned, and unceremoniously. And all due to his gaining a piece of tail on the side. While that’s never a good thing to do to your wife, it’s doubly not a good thing to do when you have a massively high profile. But that goes for Paula Broadwell, the West Point grad, U.S. Army Vet, and all-around Super Woman, who’s major foible was not just cheating on her husband but a massive hunger for athletic and achievement prowess that had to give her the sex drive of a rabbit.
Considering that Broadwell, in promoting the book she wrote about P4 called All-In, talked about his athletic ability at 60, and she’s 40, it’s clear she was turned on by that, as well as his achievements.
All of that had to be upsetting to the man she selected as her husband, and who played “Mr. Mom” to their kids while she went on a globe-trotting pursuit of a man that Scott determined long ago may have been sleeping with his wife. And it has to be totally devastating to Holly Petraeus, who’s had the title of “wife” to P4 for 37 years.
Now, it’s all out in the open, and on the week of the day of her Friday birthday, and just days before Veterans Day.
