The amazing season of The Atlanta Falcons continues as the organization almost no one picked to go to the Super Bowl is now 8 and 0. They’ve reached the halfway mark of the 16-game schedule and just defeated the Dallas Cowboys 19 to 13 at home in Atlanta.

Will the NFL start taking the Falcons seriously? Given that Dallas Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan said that Dallas would beat Atlanta, and they didn’t, probably not.

The Cowboys did plays a solid game, with Quarterback Tony Romo throwing 25 of 35 for 321 yards and one touchdown, but the Falcons were slightly better. Atlanta combined 102 yards from Running Back Michael Turner with a 50-percent third-down conversion rate to win. By contrast, Dallas amassed just 65 yards rushing from the combined contributions of Felix Jones and Lance Dunbar, and had a third-down conversion rate of 30 percent.

That was the difference, as Romo did not throw an interception and Cowboys backs didn’t fumble; Atlanta Quarterback Matt Ryan did fumble, but Falcons Wide Receiver Roddy White recovered it.

Can The Falcons Run The Table?

Now the question is, can the Atlanta Falcons go 16-and-0? Given the way the Falcons let games get away from them, then come back to win, they’re playing with fire. The bet here is no.
