More Oakland News after Jane Brunner’s “Cops got my back” blast. Sean Sullivan, who’s signs are popping up all over the Grand Lake Business District – the District Three side that is – has announced he’s raised $65,000 from 300 donors in his run for the Oakland City Council District One Seat. Meanwhile, Amy Lemley has gained $37,000 from 230 donors in her run for the Oakland City Council District One Seat.

Sean said, “I’m grateful to the more than 300 donors who have got behind this campaign.” He continued, “People believe in our vision of a safer District Three that creates good jobs and puts the needs of our neighbors first.”

Amy’s letter implies that she’s raised the most money of any District One candidate: “I am absolutely delighted to tell you that despite joining the campaign more than two months after other candidates, our campaign raised the most from our supporters: just under $37,000 from 230 donors!”

Meanwhile, Oakland City Council District Three Candidate Lynette McElhaney’s letter features her video view on the need for more better jobs and for new units of affordable housing:
