Wow, that was fast: Actress Katie Holmes moves out of the New York home she shared with Actor and soon-to-be-former husband Tom Cruise just two days after dropping the Friday bombshell that she filed papers to divorce him. But the truth is, the two had been living apart for weeks before the divorce papers were filed by Holmes, who already secured a new apartment in New York weeks before Friday.
And lends credit to the idea that Tom was cheating on her:
People Magazine reports that Katie has moved out, and taken their daughter Suri with her, while Cruise is finishing his movie Oblivion in Iceland. Moreover, Katie didn’t just do this today or Saturday, she did this on the same Friday that she reportedly filed the divorce papers.
But there is a catch here because TMZ.com reports the couple had been “Sleeping Apart in Weeks Leading Up to Divorce” stating…
According to our sources, Tom was in town for a few days around June 10 to film a movie. We’re told Tom did not stay in the apartment the couple has in NYC … but rather at The Greenwich Hotel … and never once stepped in or near the apartment.
Our sources say Katie, meanwhile, was going back and forth between the apartment she and Tom shared, and a new apartment she recently got. The two were both photographed during their time in NYC (see above) but never together.
So, score one for TMZ getting the story right, and score one against People Magazine for not checking with or sourcing TMZ.com.
