Josh Hamilton, the Texas Rangers hitter, tied a record slamming four home runs as the Rangers beat The Orioles 10 to 3. Hamilton is the 16th player to hit four homers in a game, coming off two sets of two-homers in Tuesday’s contest. Here’s the video from MLB.com:

(And be warned: MLB Advanced Media is blocking any use of video of the feat – I didn’t make one. In fact, this blog is originating from Houston’s airport, where I’m on a two-hour layover on the way to visiting Mom for Mother’s Day.)

While the record is notable, it doesn’t place Hamilton in the Top 10 Home Run Hitters Of All Time. Here’s that list:

10 – Ted Williams
9 – Sammy Sosa
8 – Frank Robinson
7 – Ken Griffey Jr.
6 – Reggie Jackson
5 – Alex Rodriguez
4 – Willie Mays
3 – Barry Bonds
2 – Hank Aaron
1 – Babe Ruth

Stay tuned.
