Jessica Dorrell Bio Courtesy: Athletic Media Relations Release: 05/02/2011 Jessica Dorrell, a former All-SEC volleyball player, became the first female member of the fundraising staff of the Razorback Foundation in November 2009. Dorrell assists with membership and fundraising for women’s athletics and is the primary coordinator of the annual Red Tie Salute to Excellence Dinner and Auction. Dorrell lettered from 2004-07 in volleyball. Dorrell, from Aledo, Texas, earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors in 2007, was named to the SEC’s all-freshman team in 2004, was second-team All-SEC in ’07 and earned SEC Player of the Week honors as a senior. One of only 13 members of Arkansas’ 1,000-kill club, Dorrell is seventh on the career list with 1,310. She had 507 as a senior and hit .220. She helped the Razorbacks go 17-16, 21-12, 16-13 and 12-19, respectively. The 2004, ’05 and ’06 clubs earned NCAA Tournament bids with the 2006 team advancing to the second round before finishing 21-12. Dorrell graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2008 with a degree in finance and marketing. She completed her master’s in business administration at Arkansas in 2010.
While it’s widely known that Dorrell was a star All-SEC Volleyball Player with the Arkansas Razorbacks, and featured in Razorback sports publications like this one, what’s not well-known outside the Razorbacks sports community, and arguably not well-known among the men, is how well-regarded she was.

Jessica Dorrell (2004-07)
Following her collegiate volleyball career, Dorrell remained in the Northwest Arkansas area and is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Arkansas. In addition to her graduate studies, she is currently working as a member of the Razorback Foundation staff.
And in 2009, Jessica Dorrell was Master Of Ceremonies at what was called The Barnhill Arena Fall Picnic For Women’s Sports. That means she set the tone for the event for all 11 women’s programs at the University of Arkansas, and was the lead speaker. It appears Dorrell was so good, and her performance so well-received that she was invited to be MC again in 2010, and ArkansasRazorbacks.com noted it:
Former Razorback student-athlete Jessica Dorrell was the master of ceremonies for the event for the second consecutive year. Dorrell joined the athletic department following her graduation and the close of her playing career.
(I should note that the Razorbacks did not mention who the MC was for the 2011 Barnhill Arena Women’s Sports Picnic event. There’s little information on it.)
And with the Razorbacks Foundation, where she was the first woman fundraiser (and Marvin Caston was the first African American fundraiser), Dorrell’s star continued to rise to the point where her name, email, and phone number appeared on every Razorback Foundation Women’s Sports Newsletter – here’s an example in this link.
A Woman Beyond Her Years
The common message that’s delivered with respect to Jessica Dorrell, that she’s hot, athletic, and opportunistic, was reflected in my first video:
But now the picture I get is of a woman in her early 20s, but might as well have been in her early 30s. She was a natural leader, who’s intellect and energy are reflected in her eyes. Every photo of her is dominated by her energetic eyes.
Yes, Dorrell was ambitious before she met Bobby Petrino, but also already mature, and getting more mature – perhaps outgrowing the man who became her fiance, Josh Morgan.
So, for Jessica Dorrell, Coach Petrino, a man she contacted as much as over 100 times a day, became her older man: the real person she was in love with, and because she felt she had more of a connection (excuse the pun) with him, than with Morgan.
Now, all that’s not only out in the open, it was revealed that Dorrell sent 60 text photos to Petrino. If those pictures ever see the light of day, and that could happen, Jessica’s image alteration process could take another big turn for the worst.
