A terrible day in Oakland. A 43-year-old man named One L Goh went to Oikos University at 7850 Edgewater Drive in Oakland, and reportedly pulled a gun, lined up 5 students, and shot them. He then tried to repeat the action with another set of 5 students, but killed two and wounded the other three.
Afterward, Goh got into a stolen car, drove to a shopping center in Alameda, and then (apparently having a crisis of conscience) told a retail clerk what he had done, the worker called police, and they came and arrested Goh. The City of Alameda was fortunate Goh didn’t continue his killing spree there.
Goh is a local man who most recently lived in Castro Valley, then Oakland, and before that Springfield and Hayes, Virginia. His parents live in Oakland at the Westlake Senior Center, where his poor father was the recipient of his son’s call telling him what he’d done, and that he was driving a stolen car.
The man family members referred to as a “good kid” obviously snapped. The question is why?
