This movie Malizia, an Italian film made in 1973, features actress Laura Antoneilli in a scene that has to be, as least to this blogger, the most erotic ever in cinema. What’s cool about it, is that it doesn’t involve nudity and has a taste of the innocent as it’s totally naughty.
The story centers around Laura who plays a live-in housekeeper, hired after the male head of the household’s wife passes away. He has three boys, 18, 14, and 4. But it’s the 14 year old, boy named Nino, who has as much of an eye for Laura’s character as his father. That teenage male desire plays itself out in a number of interesting ways in Malizia, especially this dining room scene:
In case you’re a bit of the prude and thinking “They just don’t do that in movies or television today” well, you’re wrong. One of the episodes I recall in, I believe, the second season of Breaking Bad, featured Walter White (Bryan Cranston) puting his hand up his wife’s skirt while both were at a PTA meeting. When I interviewed Cranston at the 2012 Night Of 100 Stars Oscar Party, I said that scene was what got me interested in the show. He was more focused on the idea that mentioned it at all, saying “So what, doesn’t everyone?” Here’s Cranston:
I don’t know about “everyone,” but it’s nice that, in a world of constant open sexual images, and unromantic ideas about sex, there’s still room for good, old-fashioned quietly erotic scenes in film and television.
Meanwhile, if you’re wondering what happened to Laura Antoneilli, she’s still alive at 70 years old now, and made 45 films between 1965 and 1991. Called one of Italian cinema’s last divas, Ms. Antoneilli has since retired. This website, called divinacreatura.com , was created in her honor. It’s worth a visit.
