Flash: Geraldo Rivera apologizes for Hoodie remark!
Apparently the combination of his son’s and America’s outrage over his Hoodie remark has caused the famous commentator and television journalist to see the error of his ways. Starting on radio, and now on his Twitter account, Geraldo Rivera apologized for this:
Here’s what he wrote on Twitter @GeraldoRivera :
Heard petition demands my apology to Trayvon’s parents. Save effort: I deeply apologize for any hurt I caused-that is not my goal or intent
Good for Geraldo to be able to hear how others are impacted by the views of this long-time public figure. But even with this, a number of people on Twitter aren’t in a forgiving mood:
Racists never INTEND to hurt anybody, huh? RT @GeraldoRivera Heard petition demands..I deeply apologize for any hurt …not my intent
