Tiger Woods is back. After yesterday’s five-shot lead win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Tiger Woods has triumphantly made it back into the hunt for the prize of World’s Greatest Golfer. It was his first win since September 9, 2009, and it must be noted, he did so wearing Stanford Cardinal red.

That ends 924 days of sex scandals, girlfriend and mistress talk, jokes, religion, divorce, and Gloria Allred. And now Tiger’s back and the rightful favorite to win the Masters. But before he and we get to that, Tiger’s basking in the glow of victory, as this Twitter tweet posted 20 hours ago revealed:

Heading home now and I can’t stop smiling. Thanks to Otown fans and everyone watching for all the love. Get well soon, Arnie.

Of course that’s not going to stop all of the Tiger Woods haters, but he’s right on the course Leigh Steinberg predicted he would be on two years ago.

Stay tuned.
