Kim Kardashian can’t catch a break. If it’s not getting a drink tossed at her by an irate girlfriend of a guy who wanted to take a photo with her, then it’s someone who turned out to represent PETA, who throws flour on her. What’s more upsetting to this video-blogger is to see the waves of hateful comments streaming in on Twitter about her.
I think the reason why there are so many “haters” of Kim Kardashian, is that she is not a normal celebrity brought to us via a popular movie or TV show. She’s an Internet and cable reality TV show star, and that seems to come with a more than inordinate number of haters. Why this is, I do not know.
Again, it seems to point to the non-traditional way Kim Kardashian came up into celebrity. It’s like people are reacting to being forced to like her or something, and perhaps that’s the case.
I have to do more research in fleshing out this idea.
