This update on the untimely and very sad passing of Whitney Houston. TMZ.com reports that Beverly Hills Police asked for a search warrant to adequately investigate the room where she passed away. While police could have gotten any items in plain view, TMZ reports that they want a “top-to-bottom” search of the area.

Beverly Hills Police did go into the room at the time after the 911 emergency call was made, but did not conduct a search at the time; they focused their efforts on reviving Ms. Houston. The spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Hilton said that Houston was “with an entourage” at the time police discovered her; a different take from TMZ’s blog post, which says that one person “from her entourage” discovered Houston.

TMZ also reports, as do other publications, that she “partied heavily” Friday night, and did not look well.

Stay tuned.
