Let’s try to forget about the Super Bowl – yes, the Giants beat the Patriots –again– and it happened just like it did in 2008 – during the last two minutes. It was devastating to Patriots fans, but let’s talk about Madonna’s half time show.
The 53-year-old Madonna didn’t look too bad. Her dancing wasn’t very talented – she was really just rocking back and forth and doing amateur moves which anyone could do – the outfits everyone was wearing were not that scandalous – they were all right. It was interesting to see Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, Cee Lo Green and MIA there. That really added to the performance.
The performance as a whole was captivating at some points – when I heard a song that I knew the lyrics to I sang with it, but there were just some points where I was wondering what the heck people were thinking by choosing to have Madonna. It was good that she had the reinforcements of the more modern starlets, because she would have really flopped without Nicki and M.I.A. LMFAO was great and it’s good that Madonna knows she’s sexy, because I’m not sure the rest of us do.
If I had to rate the half time show out of 5 stars I would give it a 3.5 stars.
