Oakland Warriors
Last night, Golden State Warriors Co-Owner Joe Lacob was a guest on Dennis O’Donnell’s sports show on KPIX TV, Channel Five in San Francisco. Dennis asked Lacob about the possibility of moving the GS Warriors to San Francisco. Rather than defend Oakland, Lacob did not rule out the possibility, he just said that the Golden State Warriors were a “Bay Area team” because many of the patrons come from the surrounding SF Bay Area.

The Golden State Warriors should be called The Oakland Warriors, and this ugly process of sports owners constantly dissing Oakland must come to an end. The fact is, Oakland, not any other city, raised the money to build facilities for the Warriors and the Raiders, and are working on the Oakland A’s.

Joe Lacob owes Oakland an apology.
