This is a great reward to anyone who pays attention to pop culture, so much so that they know a star when the person’s out having lunch and made-up as Abraham Lincoln. Apparently a man named Michael Phillips spotted Daniel Day Lewis while both were at a new eatery called Arcadia Restaurant at 1700 E Main Street, in Shockoe Bottom, in Richmond, Virginia.
Famed director and producer Steven Speilberg is working on what has to be his most important film to date: Lincoln. Speilberg was filming in Richmond, Virginia and reportedly stars Sally Field, fast-rising-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones from Captain America, John Hawkes, Hal Holbrook, James Spader, Tim Blake Nelson, David Strathairn, Jackie Earle Haley and David Oyelowo, and was written by Doris Kearns Goodwin and John Logan.
The film’s not a complete biography, focusing instead on the last four months of his life, and leading up to his his assassination by John Wilkes Booth. It’s due for release in one year.
So, if you want to do some Lincoln cast spotting, you know where to go.
