Melissa Kellerman
Melissa Kellerman, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader who was tackled by Cowboys Tight End Jason Witten on Thanksgiving Day, is back on Twitter after her account was taken down two days ago. A public outcry, and perhaps someone with either the Cowboys or Twitter (Twitter has suspended accounts mistakenly) realized the error and re-posted the account.

Oh, here’s the video:

This corner thinks that it was Twitter, and because other blog and news website report that the Dallas Cowboys say they had nothing to do with the suspension of Melissa Kellerman’s Twitter account. The Inquisitr.com blogs that the Cowboys said to CBS…

The Dallas Cowboys Football Club did not. We don’t get involved in administering twitter accounts.

But the Inquisitr.com then claimed it was Melissa Kellerman herself who took down the account, which defies logic. Why would Cheerleader Kellerman take down her own account, only to put it back up again? That’s not what happened.

What this blogger speculates is that the sudden rise in Twitter Followers sent a red flag to Twitter’s computers, and the account was sacked. That should not have happened, but it did. Melissa Kellerman’s Twitter account attracted 2,560 Followers in just two days, and on top of that, she only had three Twitter accounts she was following.

The educated guess here is that the Twitter system itself took down the account, humans at Twitter saw the numerous reports about Melissa Kellerman, discovered the machine error, and restored the account.

This also defies a blog report that Kellerman restored her own account. As any veteran Twitter user knows (this blogger has been on Twitter for 4 years, 8 months, 19 days as of this writing), once you take an account down, you can’t recover your followers. The only way that can happen is if Twitter suspends the account, then restores it. Kellerman herself never actually says she took down her account, only that she didn’t pay attention to it.

Case closed.

Stay tuned.
