Finally we have some good NBA News: the 2011-2012 NBA Season officially starts December 25th, Christmas Day, with a tripple-header: the Boston Celtics v. The New York Knicks, The Miami Heat v. The Dallas Mavericks, and The Chicago Bulls visiting The LA Lakers. An exciting set of matchups to kick-off what will be a shortened, 66-game (rather than 82-game) NBA season.
And now we can take a brief look at the new NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
What Took So Long
As this blogger states in the video, it’s shameful to spend 149 days haggling over who’s more important between players and owners, only to come to the kind of agreement the two sides should have had one week out of the start of negotiations.
Overall, the NBA has sendt a terrible message of incredible greed at just the time when such behavior’s under attack from American society.
