About a month ago, this blogger said that YouTube was not featuring people of color in the YouTube Partner Program highlights, now called YouTube Creators. So, that talk with YouTube turned into this new segment called “YouTube Feature.”

YouTube Feature is an effort to give a spotlight to partner channels from women and minorities. In the process of creating this presentation, YouTube provided a list of channels to help get the ball rolling.

The original idea was to have more of an interview format, and that approach remains, but since I started using green screen, I realized it was a good tool to bring to bear on the matter of presenting a video “who’s who.”

A T-Shirt Contest

For those who find channels that are featured on YouTube Feature, they get mention on the show, and a Zennie62 T-Shirt that reads “See me at Zennie62 on YouTube.”

Now, who are the channels for this go-around?

ACONNECTIONTV – Talk show addressing the similarities and differences among people, especially people who you think may not have a thing in common.
Mark Horvath – invisiblepeopleTV – Vlog about experiences with homeless people in America.
Vahchef – A channel featuring Sanjay Thumma, Chef of Indian and Asian cuisines.
Grishno – A vlog by Erin Armstrong, who talks about her daily life and also about transgender issues.

The idea is to present these vlogs in a one-take, short vlog format. And this is not the last time I will mention any of these channels. There will be other segments that give a closer look on what each vlogger’s up to.

But for now, the job – my job – is to identify who’s out there!

Stay tuned.
