Hope Solo
Hope Solo surfaces! After a rather long Twitter absence in the wake of her ouster from Dancing With The Stars yesterday, U.S. Women’s Soccer Star Hope Solo issued a series of tweets best reassembled as one statement, so here goes:

I’m sitting at the airport happy as can be. I would have have loved to have been on kimmel or gma to officially thank all the wonderful People I met. Especially the behind the scenes people that helped me everyday. My man kevin, security, wardrobe, hair and makeup and many More. I’m especially grateful to my loyal fans and of course to maks. Thanks for the journey! I wish you could have seen more of our Positive moments! Unfortunately I don’t get to choose what they want to portray. But @maksimC and I had a blast together and I’m honored to Say that our friendship will go well beyond these past 9 weeks! Love for you all! 🙂

And so ends one chapter of Hope Solo’s amazing life, but one that had to leave a totally bad taste in her mouth, at least for Dancing With The Stars. Consider that Solo was dissed by David Arquette, routinely not mentioned when Hollywood gossip shows and blogs like TMZ.com focused on Dancing With The Stars, treated shabbily by the judges, and even shoved by her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy two weeks ago.

That’s a lot to go through for anyone connected with any reality television show. Moreover, Hope didn’t ask to be treated that way. I’m sure if someone showed her a scenario video of what would happen before she signed up for DWTS, it’s a fair bet she’d back out of it.

But, on the positive side, Hope Solo’s already high visibility has gotten much higher. During the time Hope was on Dancing With The Stars, she attracted an additional 127,000 followers, and is now at 340,600 Twitter Followers, a number not closely matched by any other DWTS contestant, or ABC properties on Twitter.

I don’t know what Solo’s Q-rating is, but it’s certainly much higher than before.

Stay tuned!
