Considering all of the roadblocks that the DWTS judges and show producers placed in front of her and dancing partner Maksim Chemerovsky, is not hard to escape watching the telecast with the feeling that Ms. Solo was robbed.
Arguably her dancing was improving each week, but it was more than the dancing, it was how Hope was treated.
As this space has said, from, as Hope put it on Monday, Day One, she was ignored by much of the media, dissed by the ungentlemanly David Arquette on the David Letterman Show before Dancing With The Stars, and talked about terribly by all of the judges until their very behavior became a scandal itself.
The only bright spot, save for a few moments, was her time on The View:
Oh, and that time she kissed C.J. Sapong, but he wimped out and never came to DWTS after Hope invited him.
But with all of that the votes for Hope were so great that the judges couldn’t get rid of her – unless they gave her ridiculously low scores. That’s what happened on Monday, with three 7s, and not three 8s, being the reason she got a total combination score of 49, rather than 53, which would have put her in position to have her popular votes overtake those of many of the other contestants.
But it was not to be. Stay tuned, as for some reason Hope’s skipped The Jimmy Kimmel Show. Normally the Dancing With The Stars latest loser comes on the show, but JR Martinez, Ricki Lake, and Rob Kardashian are on instead.
