As of this week, Zennie62 on YouTube passed the 30 million mark of videos viewed. The channel was established on October 8, 2007, and now has grown to the rate of adding about 1 million new views each month.
Zennie62Media wishes to thank the many people who now regularly check out this channel on YouTube, as well as the YouTube staff itself. They’ve been very supportive and put up with my occasional pushing of the envelope of fair use. I’ve been correct more often than not, but that’s beside the point.
I finally , after YouTube’s request, made a “How to video” on YouTube copyright issues:
Of the fan base, a whopping 45 percent return to check out Zennie62 on YouTube videos on a daily basis. That wasn’t the case just four years ago, when only 10 percent of the daily views were return viewers. And the videos are currently seen an average of 45,000 times a day, with videos like the following being the most viewed:

Indeed, this channel has become nationally and internationally recognized, and each week someone stops on the street to thank this video blogger for the videos posted here. Zennie62 remains the only video blog channel that makes videos consistently seen on major news websites. In this is a model for the future of media that view pay attention too.
Maybe that’s a good thing.
The Future Of Zennie62
The future of Zennie62 includes an initiative with YouTube where I will feature YouTube Partners and Creators who represents the video sharing sites racially diverse makeup of contributors. If you’re wondering if the project came from my rantings about the YouTube Partner Program, race, and who gets featured, the answer is “YES.” It was YouTube’s idea, and I’m happy to make it happen.
The other initiative is to add more video-bloggers to Zennie62, thus turning it into more of a network of vloggers and not just one person – me. This grew from my personal desire to move the creative boundaries of Zennie62, and the best way to do that is to have voices who are different contributing content. What I seek are people who want to video-blog about politics and about movies. So, if you’re interested, drop a line at [email protected]
