On Thursday, 45 years ago, I stayed up late to watch a television show that would come to have a dramatic impact on my life: Star Trek.
Star Trek has played a major role in the formation of my friendships, many that I still maintain today. It also impacted what line of work we did, or tried to do, as well as our entire World view. Well, at least that’s certainly true for me.
And that’s especially true for my long time friends Bill Boyd and Lars Frkyman, and best captured in this video from our “trek” to see the then-new J.J. Abrams Star Trek Movie.
Now, 45 years later, the late Gene Rodenberry’s son Rod is a new documentary to be released November 30th on the Science Channel. It’s called Trek Nation, and here’s the description of the film, followed by a preview clip:
