Wow, what a bit of news on Tuesday, Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz, who was famous for telling off tech blogger-turning venture capitalist Michael Arrington at last year’s Tech Crunch Disrupt New York interview here:
And where this blogger managed to disrupt Mr. Arrington’s great first-of-its-kind event just by making this go viral on YouTube while others had left the show room. In fact, when Arrington got wind of what I did, he threw the book at me.
But that was then, and Bartz was running Yahoo. Now, Bartz was released, and according to TechCrunch it was done by telephone – a totally classless move.
Bartz only crime, if one can call it that, is it not having the Steve Jobs-ian vision needed to rescue Yahoo! from the bureaucratic behemoth self it has become.
And now, the company itself is up for sale, just hours after Bartz was fired.
