Yet another team bowed out of the world cup 2014 qualifiers. Reports that team Bahamas did not wanted to play the next round of the North American qualifiers. Rumors have it that they were upset that they could not play in a new stadium that the Chinese gave them back in June. The stadium has a 23,000 capacity the only problems is that it would not be complete in time; things like roads and parking still need to be built.
The Bahamas played Turks and Caicos Island in the last round and beat them on aggregate 10-0 and jumped in ranked to 152 witches is 45 spots. I hate to see a team like this just drop out and I was hoping that they would play in the next round.
The group they were drawn into was group C where they were set to play Panama 65, Nicaragua 177 and Dominica 133. The Bahamas are ranked at 152 o the group could have been close and looking at the way they played in the first rounds they could have moved on to the next round where they would have played Cuba, Honduras and the winner of group D.
FIFA won’t release any more information on why they drop out but group C will now only have 3 teams. This is just another team that road ends.
As always thank you Fifa.com and Video: 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP
