David’s Bridal has come up with a great way to help couples enjoy a great honeymoon while simultaneously gaining “likes” on Facebook. The Facebook page describes the Royal Treatment Contest as the following:
“Round trip airfare for you and your partner
5 Night All-Inclusive Accommodations at a 5-Star Palace Resort Destination of Your Choice in Cancun, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Riviera Maya, or Riviera Nayarit, courtesy of Honeymoons by David’s Bridal and Palace Resorts.”
The couples that have already signed up (over 200 pages of couples) have their friends and family “like” the page and then go through the hundreds of pages looking for them so that they can cast their votes – a vote a day from as many people as possible.
When voting David’s Bridal gives the following guidelines:
“Vote for the entrant that you think deserves the royal treatment! Votes should be based 50% on originality of the caption and 50% on originality of the photo submitted.”
Well, how about voting for the people who deserve it based on personal feelings and relationship? That’s what is key to this.
