Amy Winehouse is best known for her song Rehab. The song has the following lyrics: They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said no, no, no Well, maybe if she had said yes she wouldn’t be dead.
The Grammy winning singer was found dead in her London home in Camden Square. UK news source The Mirror reports:
A press release from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.
“On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of lately there has not been a reported cause of death for the 27-year-old. Updates will be posted as the story unfolds. With all the cocaine abuse and drug charges, it is really unfortunate that her life had to come to an end. Assumptions could be made that her drug problem is correlated with her death, but as of right now no one knows how she died.
EDIT: I have been informed that before Winehouse died she had recently left rehab.
