The News Of The World phone hacking hearings, now called just “The Murdock Scandal” seems to find new ways to elevate its visibility in pop culture – now comes Rupert Murdoch’s wife, Wendi Deng, and her great right hook.

Ms. Deng got up, jumped with her right arm coiled, and struck as she landed, bringing down to the floor several people, including the protester.

Call her La Femme Nikita.

To recap in brief, the Murdoch Scandal rose from allegations that journalists at the 168-year-old publication were hacking into the voicemails of story subject persons, including the families of the victims of the 9-11 attack.

The tentacles of this story reach from News Corporation to the London Police, and even as high as the UK Prime Minister, David Cameron.

Murdoch, making a statement that’s not hyperbole, said that today was the most humbling day of his life.

Both he and his son, James Murdoch, claim to know nothing of how the process of phone hacking came to be, and don’t say they knew about it. Murdoch was “shocked, appalled and ashamed” by the charges brought against his company.

The phone hacking practice has reached thousands, including actor Jude Law, who says that his phone was hacked in to a few years ago.

Murdoch blames the people he put in charge of News Corporation, one of the largest media conglomerates in the World, for the scandal.

Stay tuned.
