The Women’s World Cup is currently being held in Germany, and today the women of the United State’s team beat Colombia by three outstanding goals.

While watching the game on television it was quite alluring and it was good to see former U.S. women soccer stars there to cheer on the current players. This game brings the U.S. women’s team to the quarter finals of the World Cup – their next game is against Sweden. The Detroit Free Press reports:

“The two-time World Cup champions now play Sweden, one of two teams to beat them this year, on Wednesday in Wolfsburg to determine the Group C winner. The Americans and Sweden both have six points, but the U.S. leads the group on goal differential.”
